Introduction

Statistics are saved whenever players win an area (by leaving an area while passing through a victory area).

They are composed of 3 data:

  • The number of steps the player did within the area.
  • The number of actions the player did within the area (Rotating components, putting or taking mirrors from components, opening chests, ...)
  • The time spent within the area.

If a player does an area multiple times, only the best statistics will be saves for each of those 3 data.

From a developer point of view, the fact a player has statistics for a particular area is also a way to know, if a player won an area's puzzle or not.

Looking at statistics

  • Use /lasers command.
  • While being within the area, right click with the item Statistics in hands.
  • You can then access to 3 ordered statistics:
    • Click on the Stats: Time spent item.
    • Click on the Stats: Number of actions item.
    • Click on the Stats: Number of steps item.

Each of the inventory shown contains the list of players that won the area's puzzle. They are ordered by the selected stats so you can see the best player first.

Clearing an area statistics

  • Use /lasers command.
  • While being within the area, right click with the item Statistics in hands.
  • Click on the "Clear Statistics" item.
  • Confirm.

Linking areas statistics together

Big servers may want to create multiple instances of the same puzzle in order for multiple players to be able to play at the same time. They may also want those multiple instance to have shared statistics.

  • Use /lasers command.
  • While being within the area, right click with the item Statistics in hands.
  • Click on Link statistics.
  • Go inside another area.
  • Click on Link stats with this area.
  • Confirm.

From this point you will also be able to delete the link between the statistics of those 2 (or more) areas.
